Anyone without Hope, is finding themselves in the saddest, most depressing state anyone can be in. To be Hopeless, is devastating. That must have been how Joseph felt when he was "forgotten" for 2 years longer, in addition to the 11 years hes already been imprisoned for something he wasn't guilty of... unfair !! he must have thought... Angry !! he must have felt... but he wasn't. His hope was is God, is yours?.. His Trust was in the Almighty God, is yours? This is clear from this lesson... IF your Trust and Hope is "Misplaced", you are going to be sorely disappointed!
